about

I C U is inspired by the Soul-Funk of the '70s, with the horn section and the Sax solos by Michele Monestiroli (special guest) that act as a counterpoint to the lead and backing vocals. Bass and Clavinet play the main riff of the song and the wha guitar completes the groove along with the drums, in a track that travels carefree between the Bee Gees-style vocals of the chorus and atmospheres that are a tribute to one of SirJo's favorite songs, I get lifted by George McRae.

lyrics

I C U (SirJo Cocchi) VS 1

I see your pictures Every once in a while and I remember when I used to wish you were mine well I’ve been through hard times While you were having a great life I used to envy your husband For he could sleep with you every night
CH 1
Now that we’ve been friends for a long time Every single time I see you I wanna tell you that I’m So thankful for the moments that I spend with you As it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do
VS 2
I see your flowers so perfectly arranged and Yes My sensitivity through the years Has kind of changed Now I can see you and really feel at ease I remember when you were the one I always tried to please
CH 2
Now that we’ve been friends for a long time Every single time I see you I wanna tell you that I’m So thankful for the moments that I spend with you As it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do
SP
Now you got 2 kids And I wish you all the best I really do I’m so satisfied to see you Once or twice a year And I want this to be clear oh yes I do But if anything should change Before your flowers get rearranged I would like to talk to you
As it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do
As it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do it turns out to be the perfect day no matter what we do

about

SirJo Cocchi Milano, Italy

I'm a singer-songwriter, atypical keyboardist and producer, I'm based in Milan, Italy and my sound is a SoulFunkPop trip where I mix modern and vintage. I started singing as a kid and developed a vertical, grooving approach to the keyboard also because I was born with dysmelia in my left hand. The Songbook Chronicles is my current project, a series of 6 interconnected thematic EPs. ... more
