ENG We could only record after sundown: there’s a blind curve by the Villa where we were tracking and cars would honk during the day. Light and Darkness were in my mind while creating The Songbook project, as well as Space and Time: I wanted to mix my own material (new and old) with songs by other artists I Love and create a Bridge between me, them, and you where we could Walk or just Stand and Watch the sundown. A bridge to move on to the other side of the Journey. Space: I wanted to focus on the piano and the voice and arrange it in a way that would leave a lot of room for the Stories to emerge. Time: we decided to record it straight to tape, vocals included, in order to keep that Here and Now feeling and capture the magic. Thanks, SirJo



ITA Registravamo solo dopo il tramonto: c’è una curva cieca vicino alla Villa dove stavamo incidendo e le auto di giorno suonavano il clacson. La Luce e l’Oscurità erano nella mia mente mentre creavo il progetto Songbook, così come lo Spazio ed il Tempo: volevo miscelare il mio materiale (nuovo e vecchio) con canzoni di altri artisti che amo e creare un Ponte tra me, loro e te, dove poter Camminare o anche solo Restare a Vedere il tramonto. Un ponte per spostarsi verso l’altra parte del Viaggio. Spazio: volevo focalizzarmi sul piano e sulla voce ed arrangiare il tutto in modo da lasciare molti vuoti per far emergere le storie. Tempo: abbiamo deciso di registrare tutto in diretta, voce inclusa, per mantenere quella sensazione di Qui ed Ora e catturare la magia. Grazie, SirJo
