TWO AND A HALF is the third chapter of The Songbook Chronicles EP5 – Surrendering. Nina Simone said “freedom is…no fear!”: in this case, freedom from the fear of being alone, without a lover by my side. The sound creates a joyful mood, in a song that is also free from structure as it has no Chorus. The celesta and synths sounded like natural choices to layer on top of the rhythm section, that was recorded live in the studio: the contribution to the arrangement from the band was essential to the groove.

TWO AND A HALF è il terzo capitolo di The Songbook Chronicles EP5 – Surrendering. Nina Simone diceva “la libertà è…nessuna paura!”: in questo caso, libertà dalla paura di essere soli, senza un un amante al mio fianco Il suono crea un'atmosfera gioiosa, in una canzone che è anche libera dalla struttura in quanto priva di ritornello. La celesta e i sintetizzatori suonavano come scelte naturali da mettere in cima alla sezione ritmica, che è stata registrata dal vivo in studio: il contributo all'arrangiamento della band è stato fondamentale per il groove.
